Drainage Services in Verwood

Verwood grew from a scattered heathland village into a substantial town largely from the 1970s onwards, so most of its drainage is planned and relatively modern: separated foul and surface water in clay and then plastic pipe, with consistent gradients. The ground is Poole Formation sand and gravel over clay in places, generally free-draining and well suited to soakaways.

That sandy ground brings its own failure mode.
