Your Local Drainage And Plumbing Services is a drainage and plumbing company based at Unit 5, 17 Cobham Rd, Ferndown, Dorset, BH21 7PE. We are the data controller for the personal information described on this page.

What we collect
When you call us, submit an enquiry form, request a quote or message us on WhatsApp, we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the property address or postcode, and a description of the drainage problem.
We also collect limited technical information automatically when you use the website, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you reached the site (for example a search engine or an advert).
Why we use it
To respond to your enquiry, arrange an engineer visit, quote for work, carry out the work and invoice for it.
To keep records of jobs completed, including survey footage and photographs where these form part of the work.
To improve the website and understand which pages and adverts lead to genuine enquiries.
Legal basis
We rely on contract where information is needed to quote for or carry out work, on legitimate interests for running and improving our business, and on consent for optional analytics and advertising cookies.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses Google Tag Manager to load measurement tags, including Google Analytics. These set cookies that help us understand how visitors use the site and which adverts generate enquiries. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send advertising cookies any of the details you type into our forms, such as your name, phone number, email address or full address.
Who we share it with
We share information only where it is needed to deliver the service or run the business: our engineers, our email and hosting providers, our accountants, and insurers or regulators where required by law.
Where a survey or repair is commissioned by a third party, such as a letting agent, insurer or home buyer, we share the report with the party who instructed the work.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 12 months. Records relating to completed work, including invoices and survey reports, are kept for six years to meet accounting, warranty and insurance obligations.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it, or object to how we use it. Contact us and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Security
Enquiries are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in access-controlled systems. Only staff who need your details to arrange or complete work can see them.
