Professional Drain Jetting

Jetting cleans the whole pipe rather than the blockage alone — the reason a jetted drain tends to stay clear far longer than a rodded one.

High-Pressure Drain Jetting

Water jetting that scours the pipe wall clean, not just punches a hole through.

Jetting uses controlled high-pressure water and a selection of nozzles to cut through fat, silt, scale and root hair, then flush the debris away. It is the difference between clearing a blockage and restoring the full bore of the pipe, which is why we use it on recurring problems and on commercial lines that carry grease.

  • Fat, grease and silt removal
  • Root hair and scale cutting nozzles
  • Planned maintenance jetting for commercial sites
  • Post-jet CCTV check on request

What jetting removes

Congealed fat and grease, silt and sand build-up, limescale, fine root hair, wet wipes and general debris. Nozzle choice matters: a flushing nozzle moves soft waste, while a rotating or chain nozzle cuts hard scale off the pipe wall.

Is it safe for older pipework?

Yes, when the pressure is set correctly. We survey first where there is any doubt about clay or pitch-fibre pipework and adjust pressure accordingly, so cleaning does not become damage.

Planned maintenance jetting

Kitchens, pubs, care homes and blocks of flats benefit from a jetting schedule — usually quarterly or twice yearly — which is markedly cheaper than emergency callouts and protects you from environmental complaints.

When Drain Jetting Is the Right Method

Jetting is for deposits that coat the inside of the pipe, not just for a single obstruction sitting in the way.

  • Congealed fat and grease in kitchen waste runs
  • Silt and sand build-up in gullies and shallow runs
  • Limescale narrowing older pipework
  • Fine root hair catching paper and debris
  • Drains that block again shortly after being rodded
  • Commercial kitchens and sites needing routine cleaning

How Jetting Is Carried Out

  1. 1

Check what the pipe can take

Pressure is matched to the pipe material and condition. Where there is any doubt about clay or pitch-fibre pipework, we survey first.

  2. 2

    Select the nozzle

A flushing nozzle moves soft waste along; rotating and chain nozzles cut hardened grease and scale off the pipe wall.

  3. 3

    Jet and flush the run

Water is worked back through the pipe so debris is carried out of the system rather than pushed into the next section.

  4. 4

    Confirm the result

Flow is checked once the run is clear, with a post-jet camera check available where the drain has caused repeated problems.

One-off clearance or planned maintenance

For a household, jetting is usually a single visit to restore full flow. For pubs, commercial kitchens, care homes and blocks of flats, a scheduled clean is a maintenance decision — it keeps grease loading under control and is far cheaper than reactive callouts. If the same run needs jetting repeatedly, a CCTV drain survey should come first to check for a defect holding the deposits.
