Drainage Services in Wimborne

Wimborne Minster is a market town with a genuinely old core, and drainage in the streets around the Minster and the Square reflects centuries of piecemeal building rather than any single scheme. Georgian and Victorian properties there commonly drain through clay pipework and shared runs, often under later extensions, courtyards and paved forecourts where the original layout was never recorded.

Geology changes noticeably across the town. Wimborne sits on chalk with river gravels along the Stour and Allen, so soakaways can perform very well on the free-draining ground and very poorly where clay-with-flints or made ground intervenes — the difference can be two streets apart, which is exactly why percolation testing matters here.
