Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to work carried out by Your Local Drainage And Plumbing Services, Unit 5, 17 Cobham Rd, Ferndown, Dorset, BH21 7PE, for the customer who instructs the work.

You can reach us on 0330 128 1329 or at info@yourlocaldrainage.co.uk.

Quotes and prices

Prices are agreed before work starts. Where a problem cannot be fully diagnosed without attending or without a camera survey, we give a price for the attendance or survey first, then a price for the remedial work once the cause is known.

There is no call-out charge. Any additional work beyond what was agreed is priced and approved by you before it is carried out.

Attendance and availability

Response times quoted on this website are targets based on engineer availability at the time you call, and exact availability is confirmed by postcode when you book. We cannot guarantee attendance within a given period where traffic, weather or emergency workload prevents it.

Access and site conditions

You are responsible for providing safe access to the drainage system, including keys, gates and parking where required. If we cannot gain access at the agreed time, a further visit may be chargeable.

You confirm you own the property or have the owner's authority to instruct the work.

What we are responsible for

We carry out work with reasonable skill and care, using suitably trained engineers, and we hold public liability and employer's liability insurance.

We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, for the condition of pipework that fails during unblocking because it was already damaged, or for consequential damage that could not reasonably have been foreseen.

Guarantees

Repair and lining work carries a guarantee of up to 10 years depending on the method used and the condition of the surrounding pipework. The applicable guarantee is confirmed in writing with the job.

Guarantees cover the work we carried out. They do not cover new blockages caused by misuse, such as wipes, fat, or debris entering the system, or by damage from third parties.

Payment

Payment for domestic work is due on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing. Commercial and contract work is invoiced on the terms agreed at the point of instruction.

Cancellation

You can cancel a booked, non-emergency visit at no cost by telling us before the engineer is dispatched. Where you have asked us to start work urgently, you may be charged for work already carried out if you cancel part-way through.

Complaints

If something is not right, contact us and we will look into it. We aim to acknowledge complaints within two working days and to agree a resolution as quickly as the work allows.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
