New Drainage Run and Inspection Chamber Installed in Devon
A cracked clay run with no chamber was replaced with new pipework laid to the correct fall, a new gully and a sealed inspection chamber, then flow tested.
Completed May 2026

The problem
Waste water was surcharging in the rear yard and the ground beside the house stayed permanently damp.
What we found on site
The original clay run had cracked and lost fall, and there was no chamber to inspect or rod it from.
Work completed
We excavated the full run, laid new pipework to the correct fall on a gravel bed, fitted a new gully for the downpipe and installed an inspection chamber with a sealed cover, then backfilled and relaid the slabs.
The result
The system was flow tested before we left and now drains away cleanly, with a chamber in place so the run can be checked or jetted at any time.
