Soil Stack Re-Routed With New Rodding Access in Hampshire
Repeated blockages in a narrow side alley were caused by a sharp shallow bend with no access point, so we re-routed the pipework and fitted a rodding access.

The problem
The homeowner had repeated blockages in a narrow alley between two houses with no way to rod the pipe without lifting the concrete each time.
What we found on site
The stack turned sharply into a shallow bend under the path, catching debris. There was no access fitting anywhere on the run.
Work completed
We broke out a small section of concrete, replaced the sharp bend with a swept connection into new pipework, and installed an access fitting at low level on the stack. The path was then re-concreted and finished flush.
The result
The run now flows freely and can be rodded in minutes from the new access point, so any future maintenance is a ten-minute job rather than another excavation.
